About C-ASTEC
Our philosophy, activities, and vision for the future
Chairman's message

C-ASTEC was established as a voluntary organization under the collaboration of industries, academias, and governments in Central Japan in 1989. We have been working to develop the aerospace industry in Central Japan over 35 years.
Central Japan is the core region of manufacturing in Japan, there are diverse range of manufacturing industries, such as automobiles, aircrafts, machine tools. Thanks to its traditional craftsmanship , cutting-edge technologies, geographical factors suitable for factory locations, human resources and social infrastructures.
The aerospace industry is expected to grow over the medium to long term. The reason why the technology and quality control policy creates the high reliability, light-weighting and high added value, and areospace products have a great ripple effect on other industries. The functions of aircraft as mobility revitalize not only Central Japan, but also the entire industry in Japan.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred five years ago, which restricted the movement and exchange of people across borders and regions, enormously affected the aviation and aircraft manufacturing industries. And now, Central Japan has finally regained its former prosperity and has entered a stage of further revitalizing the industrial environment in preparation towards the future rapid demand growth.
C-ASTEC promotes to revive and grow the supply chain, including companies still affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, In order to respond to the increasing global demand for aircraft products. We will swiftly promote efforts such as strengthening the management capabilities of small and medium-sized suppliers, by improving the impression of the aerospace industry, and expanding theirs into new technologies and new industry fields. We have determined to make effort to overcome obstacles and push forward with the development of this region and the aerospace industry can become a new main pillar ofindustry in Central Japan, and we ask for your continuous support and cooperation.

Benefits of Membership
- Participation in Member-Only Events
Our center holds events such as lectures, forums, and courses related to aerospace technology for members about 6 times a year. We invite top-level researchers and experts in Japan as speakers, making these valuable opportunities for those interested in aerospace-related technology.
We also hold tours of research-related facilities 2-3 times a year with guidance and cooperation from the government (MEXT, METI, MOD, etc.), local governments (Aichi, Gifu, Mie prefectures and Nagoya city), and local universities (Nagoya University, Gifu University, Mie University, etc.).
Furthermore, as a place for close interaction among small and medium enterprises, we started "Sessa-takuma-no-kai" in FY2023, where business leaders consult on their concerns, contributing to information exchange on industry trends and building horizontal relationships.
Participation in these events is free of charge (excluding information exchange and networking sessions) regardless of how many people from member companies and organizations participate, so please actively participate. - Individual Response to Technical and Business Consultations
Our center has established a consultation window that can provide individual responses to aerospace-related industrial technology, science and technology, and business consultations from member companies and organizations.
